Case Study 5 - Project Sun - Teesport

CJ Haughey Construction were awarded the £9m groundworks contract at Project Sun in Teesport by Bowmer & Kirkland for a new distribution centre for Tesco. Scope of works for CJ Haughey Construction included earthworks, drainage, substructure and construction of the 126,000 sq/m concrete yard.

The 1.2 million square foot import centre at Teesport in Middlesborough, operated by PD ports is due for completion in the Autumn 2009, generating 800 new jobs in the region.
