Case Study 3 - NUSA Samworth Academy

CJ Haughey Construction were contracted to provide a site enabling solution which originally included earthworks, disposal to tip and the import of the capping layer. Utilising our expertise and experience, we were able to offer the client an engineered solution which included Earthworks with Ground Stabilisation. Our integrated soil stabilisation machine completed the stabilisation of the work, whilst providing cost savings and environmental benefits to our client.

The new £24m Nottingham University Samworth Academy (NUSA) will be built on the site of the current William Sharp School on Bramhall Road, Bilborough, Nottingham and forms part of the £208m Building Schools for the Future programme awarded to Carillion by Nottingham City Council in June 2008. The state of the art Academy will cater for 950 children and will open in September 2010.
